no service

I lost service about 4pm and after switching off 3 or four times I checked the 02 website to see if any notices about faults. When I didnt see anything obviously there, I contacted my sister who lives just a mile away and her o2 service is working. I therfore put it down to a faulty phone. It was only on delving deeper into the o2 site that I found these discussions and find that many other people are having the same problem all round the country. Why oh why have o2 not put something prominent on their website to save all the wasted time and give us some idea how long the problem is going to last??????? EJ Accrington Lancs

O2 will simply place a marker on your credit file if you do that, which will hurt you more than it will O2.

@rosewise1

No, why would you get compensation for something you're not using? You simply pay for the line rental. Do you not read the terms and service before you sign up?

If not, then don't complain - O2 are covered.

@Scotty - Like perksie has stated, you're stupid if you don't pay your bill, they'll just cut you off and you'll get the marker on your credit file.

@Hellwig87 - I can understand this, but it's the first time in a decade. I'm sure you'll understand.

If not then let me tell you that Vodafone had the same issue a couple of years ago... Complain to them did you?

My phone was working fine yesterday, it wasn't until around 11pm that I realised I didn't have any 3G. I woke up to then find I stopped receiving texts. My network coverage kept coming and going and O2 let me send texts but then stopped doing that and let me send texts again. I have to resend about ten times for it to go through. Can't make calls completely either. Its a really nice thing to wake up to! In my opinion they should knock off at least £10 off all customers bills this month for the inconvenience!!! Hurry up O2 and get this sorted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you kidding? £10 for not even one day of downtime?

Jesus, I'm going to try that on my ISP the next time our Exchange goes down.

They're covered in their Terms and Conditions so you can try all you want, you're not getting any money back for the service that you're renting.
