he said they had no stock and that I should keep on checking the website for stock in my area.... Are u a Gold customer ?
No I'm on a 35p/m contract started May 2009, I used the early upgrade offer, and paid £60 to pay off the remaining months on my contract. I said I'd like to upgrade to the iphone 4 if they had stock, the lady said yeah no problem, she seemed to hint they had good numbers of stock for 16GB/32GB models.
So you paid £60 to pay off the contract. What about the nwe phone, did you have to pay extra for that as well?
Yeah, I had to pay £29 for the iPhone which will be on my next bill.

I see, so you went for the £45 a month contract to get the phone for £29?

I got one ordered today
The lad I spoke to works at an outsourced call centre in Wath that I used to work at on the IT helpdesk.
Apparently o2 are temporarily re-routing the customer service call queue to all of their call centres because of the call volume created by the iphone 4.
The lad I spoke to usually works on outbound calls.
It would appear that some of the centres have some stock some don't. The one that I got through to is outsourced to Ventura Customer Services.
Keep trying!

Just a quick question. How long does it take them to take the early upgrade cost from your account?
I'd like to ring up now, but I need to fund my upgrade my trading in my current iPhone and wouldnt want to do this until I was sure I'd have a replacement within a couple of days.
Thanks

I just tried again. No luck. Keep ringing? Or will they look at my account and see that I have phoned today already?

Ah that would explain it. What contract/capacity did you go for. I would have preferred a white one, but there seems to be delay in the manufacturing of them, oh well! I'm delighted I've got one ordered let alone the colour.
