of course they are doing something about it, its costing them an absolute fortune, they are not doing it for us they are doing it for themselves, but they need to keep us informed, not with the minutia of course which most of us wouldn't understand but I should not have to spend an hour trying to find out whether or not it was my phone that was the prob or it was the network..thats what I find unacceptable.. and like I keep saying that useless status link was unaccessable.... it should have been writ large on page one as soon as they knew it was serious imho.... Basically somebody high up at Customer services probably needs to collect their P45

" Well I don't know how hard it is to build a site page that can suddenly take maybe 2 million hits without crashing, which could have happened today, a bit like a DDOS attack I guess. " Exactly right but thats the point I am making, they should have realised that they would be swamped and there would be problems accessing the status pages AND PUT SOMETHING ON THE FRONT PAGE IN THE AFTERNOON.... imho thats not rocket science but simple good manners ....

That info is just not available, far too difficult I believe to arrange.

I was a heating engineer and as soon as I arrived on a breakdown the customer would ask what's wrong before I had opened the toolbox, all I could give them was flannel until half an hour later I had some clue myself, and whether I had the part needed and how long it would take to get the part and fit it.

That was all a piece of cake really compared to this, they may be still be tracing it out for all we know, any answers given may only be guesswork, I'd rather wait until there was something positive to report, by then it'll probably be nearly fixed.

I'd prefer a bit of flannel, at least we could then pretend they gave a toss about us...
