ending contract

Hi, i gave a months notice to end my contract a month early. It expired in September 14. I gave notice in july because on my o2 page i was told i could end my contract in August, one month early than it should be.          Because i am partially sighted i do not check these things often and have to rely on friends to do things like this email for me.

I had my o2 account checked and was horrified to find that i had been charged to May 2015. How. How can this happen? Is it legal?  I only expected to pay up to september 14 at the most. Please can someone help me?

The amount of cost charged over £160  .....:aghast_smiley; so shocked more than one weeks pension taken from my bank account.  From a nearlly blind pensioner with no savings .

I hope all who offered advice above will accept my thanks as i followed all advice given. I rang o2. Spoke to Christopher who saw straight away it was a mistake. He cant understand how as the end of contract date is automatically produced. It will be repaid they owe all of it as i was in front with payments and neednt ha e paid a penny! I think it was the onli e adviser who caused the mix up. After asking him all the questions on how and when etc i said i would do it by phone. He might have been a bit upset. When i get my money ba k i will leave a message. Thank you all. Xx

Hi All. I want to tell you that i have received notice of a refund of just over £165. For overcharhing me when i left o2. If you do not get paper bills make SURE YOU CHECK THEM IN YOUR ACCOUNT. I made a costly mistake because i trusted them!  But im very grateful that ive got it back!  Xx

Whilst it's unusual for a billing mistake such as this to be made, I'm happy it was swiftly resolved for you slight_smile
