Nothing in the specs about which 4g bands are supported so be careful as not all these phones support UK frequencies.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

From what I recall of other Xiaomi phones they don't support band 20.

This from the PC Advisor website:

"If you are buying in the UK, note that the Xiaomi Mi 5 supports only bands 3 (1800MHz) and 7 (2600MHz) for 4G LTE. If you have an O2 SIM, or use a network that piggybacks on O2's network, such as GiffGaff, you should know that the Mi 5 does not support LTE band 20 (800MHz), and you will not receive anything more than 3G."

If like the mi note, there are ways to manually enable more bands.....
Bit of a long winded affair, but worth it if people feel confident enough.
I'm very interested in this one, though I'm betting a larger version appears in autumn.

Not a phone for the average O2 user then. I doubt many would have the expertise @viridis was talking about re enabling more bands.
