O2 do have hotspots but they are in the uk and are free.
You should be able to find some form of wifi about around the pool,in bars or coffee shops.
Make sure you turn off Mobile Data in your phones settings so your phone does not connect accidentaly to any foreign networks data.

Another option if you plan ahead is to have your phone unlocked here https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%... and use a local SIM card.
Or if your on O2 monthly contract look at Tugo

Unless the hotel has any facility to use the O2 Charge to mobile scheme you would have to pay seperately for wifi sometimes as an extra on the hotel room. some hotels do have free wifi in the lobby though.
You won't be able to pay it as part of your O2 bill though.

Very few hotels in Spain have WiFi in the rooms...(unless it is a top of the range luxury hotel)...
Most have Wifi in selected communal rooms like reception and lounge areas. (I read a local paper last year that indicated hotels needed to provide WiFI else they would lose custom)
Most WiFi is free...some hotels apply a small fee.
Of course, if your hotel has Wifi, you can make use of it with any number of devices....
