I've just realised an important item of data for comparison purposes.
Orangeproblems site was set up in 2006 to champion the way Orange dealt with complaints.
That site currently has 26054 members. We all know (well I do as an ex-Orange user) the reputation of Orange compared to O2.
So how come the O2 forum formed in 2007 currently has 119371 members 😐 ....if they are that good ?

I reckon O2 would have many more if the forums were to come to life properly, when you think they have around 22million customers.
Our ammunition can only be friendly persuasion, nobody is ever going to make O2 do anything they don't want to.
This could be the best customer forum in the country with a bit of work.
We know these posts are looked at, maybe someone will realise the missed opportunity here.

I think you missed the point I was trying to make perksie....or you're acting the innocent wink
The majority of the O2 forum's 119371 members are no posters or spammers.
There is a percentage of Orangeproblems 26054 members that are no posters or blocked spammers.
I've already done the analysis but I'll let somebody else prove it for themselves.....if they're interested enough.
Recently Orangeproblems had a spamming problem.....it was resolved in less than one week by just the one admin.

I missed the point! grin
I couldn't be bothered to do the membership analysis, and am just going by what I see here in the forum.
Perhaps I don't care enough, but I appreciate the detective work you have done. slight_smile

I do hope that none of the you do give up, the apathy that is in this forum pales significant to the input that you give. I know I do not post that often but I do regularly visit. In fact this forum I liken to another I read which too has an apathetic owner but it does have a small number of hard core members which keep it running.

I think that is the best description of the current forum situation that's been posted so far.....providing that "hard core" = "dedicated" rather than what perksie seems to want it to mean 😮

Does that mean I can't pass for "dedicated"? grin

If you want official customer support then it looks like the O2 page on Facebook is the place to go. It looks fairly monitored.

This is the official O2 forum set up and monitored by O2 or their approved contractors.
If O2 wish to close this forum in preference to Facebook or give priority to Facebook rather than the official forum then they will make a formal announcement.
