Warning mobile phones direct and O2 Deposits

Anonymous
Not applicable

Just a word of warning, I placed an order with the above retailer last Tuesday, 10th Sept. I was asked for a £50 deposit which I paid, but as of today 16th Sept my order has progressed no further, although the £50 has been debited from my card.
They are saying that the system that transfers the deposits to o2 are down, and have been down all this time, and they don't know when they will be back up and running.
I am unable to get o2 to verify the situation, but only hope that this company isn't suffering from financial issues resulting in them holding on to deposits!

Thanks for the warning but as an agent of O2 they should be ok.

There is no reason for this post to be removed.

Their reviews aren't bad and if you paid by credit card you would be covered for failure to deliver.

I've ordered phones from them before and had no problems at all.....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks guys, i removed any possiable links.

I hope it is all legit, perhaps googling the history of the company to ensure they are legit and seeing how they had to close their high street stores due to financial difficulties rattles me a little.

I've placed an order with them before with an o2 deposit and had no problems at all.

Gets you thinking though, they've been holding the o2 deposits for at least a week now, no warning before hand the system is down, but still take the deposits knowing this, and must hundreds if not thousands of customers paying a deposit in that time thus far...phewww not doing their bank balance any harm!
