O2 need to fix their broken network ASAP, had an issue few days ago where verification messages and extremely important messages like appointment reminders and appointment bookings werent coming through and it's just happened again, the only fix O2 support could give was to reset network settings but that takes hours to actually fix the problem, O2 needs to sort this out immediately

@Alyxiate

The problem isn't always o2 some of the SMS Gateways used by companies and the NHS have stupidly low timeouts, so if they can't be delivered / sent by the gateway in x minutes they fail to send, so as well as o2 may be speak to the companies to get them to change the SMS Gateways they use, and the logging on these services is garbage....

Did you port your number by any chance? As if you did it could the donor networks infrastructure not passing it along

Also this doesn't just affect o2 but every network globally.

No idea what you mean by port number but it's not happening with one or two companies, it's happening with all companies, and it seems to only be an issue with O2 as I've seen this issue going back months from people also complaining on here

@Alyxiate

It's just one of a number of issues where O2 are currently failing.

Agreed, the whole system and network needs a massive shakeup.

We do our best here to flag issues back to O2 but it always takes months or even years for anything to change.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

This used to be a big problem on Virgin Mobile. Let's hope that O2 aren't moving over to their systems

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
