Swapping to a Nano sim

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

My wife has just upgraded her phone and given me her iphone 5. The iphone 5 has a Nano sim card but my Samsung S4 mini has a micro sim. I want to try out the Iphone but would also like the option of reverting back to the Samsung if I didn't like the Iphone. So, I was wondering if I order a Nano sim on my pay monthly contract, will my sim in the Samsung S4 mini still work?

Hope this makes sense.

Regards. John

Fair enough.

It should run smoothly and you can use the adapter or sim swap back. Usually takes minutes to complete - but can be up to 24 hours if the network is busy.

Samsung is the better phone anyway wink
Sim adapters can give issues with signal and damage to the sim readers in phones.

I've asked Vodafone for an unlock code for the Iphone 5, so will give the sim adaptor a go when it has been unlocked. Nothings straight forward between android and Iphone slight_smile

Bear in mind that if you use a sim adapter to switch between the Samsung and the iPhone you will also have to keep changing your data settings, as they are different for both phones.

The data part is the not so straightforward part so all works ok.

I've used sim adapters for a long time with no issues. O2 provide plastic versions but you can if so inclined order other versions off certain well known auction sites for minimal cost.
