Starting a New Thread

There has been a few instances of new members finding it difficult to start a new thread. Here is a simple link to make things easier for everyone.

This looks brilliant.... but I am still confused as to why, if new members are logged on they are finding the New Message heading greyed out (as happened earlier today)

I'm not sure to be honest. It has to be something to do with the registration I would have thought but that's something for @Toby , @Anonymous and @Anonymous to have a look at.

I agree...I was lost when the new member told me they couldn't start the topic but was obviously logged on..

Anyway kudos to you jonsie for that link. It will help anyone with similar problems

Agree...at the top of every board really, in case members go direct to the board of their choice?

I agree I've been confused when a new member says they cannot start a new thread ,but I've thought maybe because their in the thread already their posting that ,and don't realise they need to be in the board of choice.

Just hope it helps a few. I', not sure  the link would work if a member is seeing a greyed out box though?

I think @MI5 mentioned that the person we are discussing had been registered for 2 years in the days when you could log in with your user name... he was suggesting that maybe that person needed to re-register with their email address?

I think I have that info correct...,...
