Slow internet connection

Anonymous

Hi. Has anybody else had this problem. Im on o2 and my internet connection is very slow. I can receive whatsapp messages ok but if i want to connect to Facebook or surf it takes forever to load. Wifi is absolutely fine. I went to the o2 shop yesterday and they suggested a sim swap. Still waiting for this to happen as per other postings but at least my old sim working for now. Will it make any difference. does anyone have the same problem?

unfortunately I am still unable to connect on 2G (where 3G not available), which seems to be the majority of cheshire where I have been working around today.  I dont know what to do now.  I spoke to someone at Apple who says its probably an O2 issue as the phone is working well otherwise.  Any ideas?  Im really disappointed.  I dont want a phone that I cannot use on a day to day basis just because of the connection issue.

I have spoken with O2 and they said it was a mast issue locally but when I said I have travelled about today and had the same issue everywhere else the guru suggested I take out the sim card, wipe and put back leaving phone off for 10 minutes and said this will sort it out?  Not convinced but will give it a go.

No. This is not solved. Still not working. How is your comment a solution?

Try backing up your phone in itunes and then restore as a new phone to see if that resolves your problem. You can then restore from your backup.

If this doesn't solve your problem book a Genius appointment at your nearest Apple store and let them check it over. They can't diagnose it over the phone.

As for your comment about the 'resolved' status, only the OP (you) can mark a post as the solution so presumably you did it, inadvertently or not.

I have done that already. The back up that is. No change. Sorry about the solution post. Didn't know I'd gone that. Thought it odd.

Seems to me you have a problem with the handset. Take it to Apple, even if it's a long return trip, you will probably get the phone replaced on the spot.

Do apple stores have spares for replacements. Thought still lack of iPhone 5 phones.
