To be honest all Three do have the financial muscle as their parent Hutchinson Whampoa are a major Asian conglomerate with access to funds.

Will it happen? I have no idea but with o2 performance dropping like a stone and o2 Customer Services now on a par with or below that of Vodafone they are ripe for acquisition.

AT&T? More likely to go for the kill and take out Vodafone. As a shareholder in Vodafone I see this as a likely outcome since it is selling Verizon Wireless stake.
