I'm back with the same problem sort of!

I can now not get into my music nor can I save emails. If I try I get the message "Package Installer Has Stopped".

I tried the link again provided by @MI5 but this time no luck.

As far as I know both my music and email file are on the phone not the SD card.

I've cleared the cache on the package installer and I have 11.15gb of space on my phone.

So I don't know what else to do. It could just be that my phone is knackered. Have had it for nearly 2 years and it has been well used in that time.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Your not going to believe it @MI5 but I can now access my music and save emails. It appears to be something to do with the permissions. So sorted for the moment. The sooner I get my hands on the Note7 the better. This phone is really knackered.

If a fault recurs a number of times a factory reset might help, but it might also indicate hardware failure of some sort, unfortunately.

Thought about a factory reset but then I will lose all my data including my music, downloaded apps, etc. So don't want to risk it.

I think you are correct and it could well be a hardware problem. It makes receiving my new Note7 even more important. Still with o2 who knows when that will happen - they're still dealing with replacements 😣

Yeah ridiculous isn't it!
If you make a full backup with Samsung Smartswitch you shouldn't lose anything important.
