O2 network signal

I am having problems with O2 signal on my iphone. I live in an area which usually gives a strong 5 bar signal, but it appears to have failed. I have had no signal for over 6 hours. Has anyone else had this experience?

I live in Guiseley and my signal strength at home is 1 bar to 2
spoke to apple who said that i will have to take a picture of 2 iphones on 02
showing signal strengths so i have and am waiting for a reply.
this is my second iphone with the same problem of signal strength.
02 say there is nothing wrong im my area but obiously there is.
i took a picture of my neighbours ipad on 02 showing 5 bars signal and my iphone showing 1 bar. also i am getting a nother friend on 02 with his iphone,
my argument is that im not getting good service from 02 for web browsing as it takes 45seconds to load a web page and also dropped calls.
i am waiting for a call from 02 on this matter,
might be an idea to go on to watchdog with this and publisize this matter,
see if 02 responds then to every ones signal issueswith a decent outcome,
if not VODAPHONE here i come in 16months

Is this indoors or outdoors. O2 predict on street strenght not in building and will not investigate if it is indoor signal strength.

i think if i had a 3gs i wouldnt mind the signal strenght too much as web browsing would be a lot faster
and im now under the impression that my free internet is going to be capped in october but i have not receives a text or phone call to tell me that,
maybe i will have to look at my contract and see what it says,

I would say its a phone issue, the Iphone doesnt have the best reception, you have to be sitting under the mast to get a decent one, its not the network, just one of apples toys... you can read the same on other networks, At&T in the states, Vodafone customers and Orange customers have the same issues, the Iphone is a nice toy, just not a practical phone (yes I own one, I use to get 4 bars on my samsung pixon 8800 then changed to a 3Gs and that dropped to 1-2, yet my works phone which is a brick in comparison gets a great signal, 3-4).

If you switch to 2G only do you get a better signal?
