Hi everyone,
I am on Southern Africa and discovered my 02 number is suspended for no reason. I cannot make calls, incredibly there chat agents still direct me to the Pay as you go help page which states you can only reach the team by making a phone call. Any advice??

You need to contact O2.

How long have you been in South Africa @Kevschenk ?
o2 only allow 63 days roaming before the service would be disconnected see the official help page - https://www.o2.co.uk/roamfairuse and check out the roaming guide:

Seems strange they would only limit EU roaming - is that because they don't charge for it?

Outside of EU they make a lot of money from roaming.
