Nokia N97.....o2 say NO? - Page 4

Hi there peeps, i was looking forward to the new Nokia N97 coming out, and wondered why i hadnt seen anything on the website, phoned o2 up and at first they said they were not going to do the handset at all, then they said well maybe they would but dont know, then finally yesterday told me that no way would they be doing this handset :mansurprised: ? Anyone know why? unlike o2 not to get this in to be honest, they have always had the others when they came out.

......I've just requested my PAC code from o2 so as soon as it cones through, I'm heading down to my nearest Vodafone shop to get the N97 mini. I was playing around with one today and was well impressed. They're gonna put me on a £35 a month tariff which includes unlimited text, 500 minutes and unlimted Internet access....!!

After 6 years with o2 - it's GOODBYE from me....!!!!!

I think they don't release the phone because there is so many problems with the phones from Nokia. Fair enough you want the phone and you got to leave O2 for it but there is a good chance you will get the phone and have a fault with it.

....there were only faults with the original N97 NOT the N97 Mini. Also, it was only the very first batches of the N97 that were plagued with problems. Most of the problems were rectified with the release of the version 20 software anyway....

Pretty much ANY handset these days has problems anyway.....the amount of posts in the iPhone Forum is proof of this...!!!

And these are the batches that O2 tested I guess. The faulty ones did take a while to be rectified so unlikely they will try test it again to release.

wOOt...!!! I just got my confirmation email from Vodafone to say I'll be getting my N97 Mini tomorrow!!!!

Finally - I've made the transition from o2 iPhone to N97 Mini Vodafone.
