Too right! I just got mine and my mates i fone working
Switchin from 3G to 2G dont bugger anything its a flick of a button and can be changed back within mins!
Instead of fannying around with your phones, be patient and wait for it all to be fixed? yes it may take some time but prevents you from buggering up your settings.
Its not going to hurry along the little engineers though is it? Its not going to fix the main problem either.
Its not going to hurry them but it's a solution which is better than nothing
Does not work for everyone.
Even so solution for some, is better than no solution atall.

The O2 outage has taken out Tesco mobile as well. I run a driving school and none of our current or potential customers can contact us at the moment due to the O2 network being down, this has knocked out our driving school mobile and 0800 freephone as well.
As this is now the second time this has happened in the last three months, I am seriously thinking of taking Tesco Mobile and O2 to court to recover losses my business has now incurred and transferring my service to T-Mobile.

You should do that, take them to the small claims court for loss of business.
Also it could seem that their network is almost not fit for purpose, if this happens regularly, it last happened to me in Feb of this year.
Make a report to O2 firstly, and if you are not satisfied, then contact Otelo, the Regulator that O2 are signed up to, Otelo kick ass and you usualy get a call from O2 after Otelo have got on to them.
O2 need to sit up and listen to their customers and provide a 24 hour support service.

This outage is not by fault of O2, and they will have plenty of evidence to support this. Will be a waste of money taking to court.
