A quick question here. Anyone know the best mobile network for Cancun in Mexico? I know I could google it but wondering if anyone has been so knows for definite. My grandson flew there today...and promised everyone he would text/call to say he had landed safely.... Landed about 2 hours ago...and nothing as yet....

So you were right with the networks @MI5. He chose Movistar out of the two you said.

And yes the hotel is a good one.... and has wifi pretty much all over it......

Just a final update (as I am not turning this into a 'my grandson on holiday thread').....:smileytongue:..

He did say how hard it was to get a network when he landed. He chose Movistar which was 'useless' (his words) What he meant was. it kept searching for Telcel so he is now registered on that.

They gave him a grotty (no Wifi) room at the hotel...so he complained (16years old Happy Dance)

They upgraded him to a vastly superior one with WiFi all over the place. He is now settled with all his gadgets running...and is off down to breakfast....LOL
