Excellent offer I think...for some.
Unfortunately (for me) I still use Windows 7 and am very comfortable with that. My husband has Windows 8 on his laptop. He didnt like it at first ....but now enjoys using it.
I am sure this question has been asked before...why no Windows 9?

If they make it too complicated, people won't go for the upgrade, which would defeat the purpose of offering it. I have two computers running Windows 7, but my plan is to wait until the 11th month before considering the upgrade. Let them iron the kinks out, which there are bound to be many of, before going for it. Even then I may only upgrade one. Microsoft is committed to support Windows 7 until 2020.

Sounds like a good plan @Bambino . Think I will leave my W7 well enough alone, but my daughter may want to change her W8.1 laptop - she hates W8.
