Hi,

One of our customers seems to be having issues connection to their Hikvision CCTV when using their O2 mobile data - sometimes this works briefly but the majority of the time it does not.

The CCTV has been installed for some time and I know that everything is setup as expected - I have access to the CCTV via standard broadband as well as EE, Three and Vodafone connections. The customer also has other users access the CCTV from their phones which all works fine.

We are using the default server port 8000 - is O2 known to have issues when using this port, are there any other known issues with O2 and any solutions we can try?

Many Thanks

Tom

This isnt o2 but a customer to customer forum

How does the CCTV work is it on a Internal Network or direct to Internet?

As was pointed to your customer, has any packet inspection been done on the connection, as this will tell you the exact repsonse from the host, and will show the TCP/IP or UDP handshake??

Is port 8000 UDP or TCP ?

Can you change the port it talks to the customer on and see if it works?

Also it could be CGNAT on the network, and it presenting an Internal IP and not the Internet Facing IP.

So in summary:

1. Where does the CCTV Sit Internal Network or Direct to Internet

2. What if any IP packet inspection has been done on the traffic between the users phone and the CCTV, if so please post the Wireshark logs.

3. Is this TCP or UDP,

4. Can you try a different port
