These guys manage to make Vodafone look good and they are Pathetic
Honestly the indian call centre is not fit for purpose. All i wanted was to set up the O2 app and register a payg sim, Sadly thids is beyond the cspsbility of the people they employ. In that time i have had mutiple dropped calls> 1 told me I had to go to the store. Another set tried me up for a pay monthly account even though I explained multiple times putiple times that i was PAYG
So here i am 6 hours and 18 calls to these people and I still do not have an account on the web or the app that I can access. 1 idiot tried to palm me of with the old Our systems are down Bull ****. When i asked when did that happen i was told 2 hours. Then when I told them i had been having issues since 2 hours befor that the agent told me exactly. When i explaind my issue pre existed they put the phone down on me.
Aftyer this I would not touch this crappy network with a barge pole. If the cannot solve a simple issue sutting up and account then i really do not want to trust them with my number.
In the early 2000s I worked as third level technical support on the business team at the OPrange call centre in Plympton in Devon. If any one there had treated customers in the shoddy way these idits do they would have been sacked on the spot.
As far as I am concerned O2 are showing complete contempt for there customers buy allowing this **** show to masquerade under the name of customer service

Have you tried the somewhat more capable Social Media team, now the cathartic rant is over, @This_is_rubbish? Either of these will work - be persistent though, they are a busy lot.
All SIMs do need to be collected from a store, or requested through 202/4445. MyO2 is not a necessity for PAYG. And the call centre agents, shop staff too, are incentivised to sell contracts, have been for perhaps the last 18months or so.
Ways to top up PAYG without MyO2 app or web versions here: Guide How to Top Up (PAYG)
You're welcome 👌

How exasperated and angry you are calling people by an archaic term for those with mental health issues I find very offensive.
I've asked the mods to look at your post.

I agree. Hopeless. The last two sales people filled the application wrong.
Then one guy put me through to the security team. I said I need the application number twice but he ignored me and put me through.
The first question they ask is for the application number. So that was a waste of time. Start again. Yesterday I was told I'd get a call back this morning. It's now18.42! I spoke to a south African girl last and she called back. Also she's calling on Monday, which i think she will. Hopefully I might have some answers from the Amendment team by then. I'm stuck with no idea why I was knocked back for an upgrade when I have a 100% experion score. If they won't let me have the two new handsets for £90 per month then I'm not paying them £82 per month which im currently paying.
I obviously can't afford it! Lol
