Hello everyone,
I would love some help with this query please as I feel very unsettled. I queried my latest bill with O2 because it was higher than usual and was told that the reason was I had made a call at 7.52am on Christmas Day lasting 4.23 minutes to 09066647711. It cost more than £18. I was told by O2 customer services that the number relates to erotic services. I did not make that call. I didn't call anyone on Christmas Day. I am a 61 year old woman who spent the day with her disabled, arthritic, deaf 86 year old father after recently losing my sister so no, he didn't use my phone to make the call either. Besides, he doesn't have my fingerprint or password. O2 have put a bar on premium calls on my phone and, as a gesture of goodwill, are crediting me with £10. I asked if I'd been scammed and was told that the only way the number could appear on my phone was if I called it. I didn't. I didn't. I didn't. What on earth has happened and how can I prove it? What can I do? Has anyone else had this happen to them? Many thanks...Lisa x

It's looking really positive, especially as I have since received the email below. I'm so grateful to this community for helping me with a way forward xxx
Hello Lisa,
You have been issued a full refund. Please check your email for a message from PayPal which contains the confirmation of the payment. Deals Insider uses PayPal as a safe and easy way to refund consumers because UK operators do not currently offer a way to directly reverse third-party charges on your phone bill.
PayPal sometimes takes around 3-6 working days for the payment to clear. Once the payment is marked as completed, you are able to withdraw the refunded amount from PayPal to your bank for free, or spend it as you wish.
If you need any more assistance, please do not hesitate to respond to this email.
Kind Regards,
Bethany Gillard

@LisaAuthor You didn't give this company your bank details, did you? Do you have a PayPal account?
