Hi everyone,
After just having had a discussion with someone through PM about how to keep more people active on the forum, I wanted to ask for your input as well.
Although we'll always have some 1-time posters (which is fine), I'm sure there are still many of people that would love to be part of the community. Either by reading threads, making posts or even by contributing and helping other people.
Some of the suggestions, were to:
- Post news and updates from the blog and news page (for example in a weekly digest thread)
- Create help, setup pages and guides for the forum (that include Guru videos)
- Linking the community more often and perhaps do exclusive community promotions
So, I wanted to ask you for your feedback and ideas on that as well. If there you have any ideas, or if there are certain areas that you'd like to help with, just let me know (either here or through PM).
Looking forward to your suggestions!
Cheers,
Leonard

Yep, good points, npr. I really like your suggestions about stickies.
How do you think we should approach that? Perhaps kick off with a discussion thread on specific FAQs so everyone can give their input? We can then extract the info/links from that thread for an official sticky.
p.s. if you feel that there are any ongoing issues, just drop me a PM or some links so I can chase it.
Cheers,
Leonard

You know the main issue I have.
When is it you are reviewing your forum changes?
I'm running short of patience here.

That will take a few more weeks, but weren't you talking about something else here?
Excellent, think you'll have your work cut out, we get the impression here that O2 departments are not good dealing with things off script.
If you have any specific examples you'd like me to chase, just let me know. I'm happy to help improve things. It would also be great to hear your thoughts about the sticky threads.

Disappointing.
Why not just say you're not going to undo the changes some of use object to.

Just come back of Hols so playing Catch up, However Im not sure if this was mentioned.
But a Lot of people come on here as either they cant find the information they are looking for, or the information they get of O2 customer services doesnt match the o2 website.
One of my biggest issues is that the O2 Website it self, has many links that are out of date, Information is inaccurate, or really doesnt make sense.
Since O2 have changed the International Website it now advises o2 customers can use their mobile phone in North Korea, Now this may be the case, but from checking further on another GSM Website, North Korea Network has no out side connection to any foreign network. I may be wrong in this but since O2 Changed the Internation Pages, There are many more countries again showing that it now has connections all of a sudden but no other uk network or worldwide GSM networks even have. From what i understand in the Mobile GSM World wide connections, o2 is saying that they connect to at least to nearlly all and i mean nearlly all of the GSM Conuntries. This is only happened since you updated the Web. If its correct then hats of to O2 for really showing that its a trully connected Mobile brand as from what i can see, you are leading the world or near enough.
I have more examples in sudden countries appearing as I do a lot of roaming info on all UK Networks and have done for some years. so if you need more info let me know.
As Ive said in my previous post message, an App would be great and a lot easier to use, I rarely use a laptop and on iphone, ipad or android tablet.
Easier sign in, and even easier like 4 digit pin on an app and a few people dedicated from o2 to help us all out. Vodafone have a dedicated team which from what i see do an Ok job.
Hope this Helps

Hi All,
1)
Based on the old adage "Out of sight, Out of mind", it is hardly obvious in the Home Page that a Forum even exists. You only have to look at he headings to see (actually you don't) that something is missing, Try this;
Explore Shop Support Forum My O2
So visibility is the key to attract a wider membership. In fact I for one never even looked beyond checking my usage and billing because I never saw an eye catching reference.
2)
A collection of YouTube library links could be helpful if compiled under "Video Reviews & Fixes", as I am sure members search for these videos already.
3)
The Emoticons are uninspiring and do not convey simple humour expressions effectively, Can this be addressed as a wish list please?
4)
An open technical section for Mobile Hacks/Projects/Tips/Tricks/Custom GUI would be great, but not so if you are unlucky and end up bricking your phone, but that is at own risk and I for one am prepared to take this with my £15 Nokia.
Enjoy
