Sorry if this sounds silly but this little thing has been nagging at me since I joined.

When people comment on the forum with @ then the username, how does that person know that they haven been mentioned in thaat thread?

Hi guys,

You need to type '@' and the first letter or 2 of a username and after a few seconds you should see a list of usernames as if using an autosearch. There is a bit of a delay though which could make it seem like its not working. I'll see if I can find out from Lithium whether it should be this slow.

Its within your preference settings.

If its ticked and someone uses the @ before your name your sent an alert.

I do not think that setting actually works always been on on mine and never get a notification

I believe your meant to recieve an e mail saying you have been mentioned in a post.

Oh good i'm glad it's not just me

The notifications are turned on for mentions but I didn't get one.

No email either......

I only get emails for PM's
