Hello,
So recently I changed from Pay as you go to Pay monthly on a tarriff of £23 p/month. As it is all new to me I don't really understand it. I called o2 twice and both times I was speaking with a non-native English speaker so i couldn't understand what was being said and vice versa.
I have checked my recent bill which is said to be at "-£34.90". However, it says next to it that this is a balance. Is this how much I have to pay or..? I'm confused as there is no way I have went beyond the contracts limits and no money has been taken out of my account. Do I need to pay it myself each month? I thought it was set up as a direct debit and there is no way my bill could jump so steeply.
Many thanks!

I think they just panic if they see a figure they're not expecting to see.And also the relation to minus. In another life if I was viewing a staff balance sheet over a monthly period I would expect to see '+10 agency nurses' ....if I actually had 10 allocated to my unit...(not - 10)
Totally see the point but as long as the op understands now.
Just as an aside, I had a text balance from a little used bank account which showed -£3.68 meaning I was OD so billing and statement balances are different.
