Breaking my silence it is a genuine account and post As I emailed the address in the thread amd had confirmation this morning from Stephen.

Yet it is a violation of the t&c and the user it was aimed at should have had it by pm.

If Ronan is who we think it is then I am shocked and disappointed.

Hi guys,

We've had a few chats about it and can now confirm that the account is genuine. Ronan turning up was a surprise for us as well and because we didn't want him to be flooded by PMs, we couldn't announce that earlier.

We're looking into helping him chip in now and again without there being any confusion. That should solve it for everyone.

Cheers,
Leonard

Thanks for confirming that Leonard. A couple of us decided it was a genuine account from the tone and content of the posts.

But I'm not one of them.

To contravene not only the forum T&Cs, but to display poor forum etiquette, is not what I expect from a CEO of a major communications company.

I haven't a clue what this is all about.
But having the CEO visit the forum is a major plus, I think we can forgive him any errors in forum etiquette.

Not too sure where exactly I said you were?

I'm happy that the CEO came to the forum to guage the reaction of the outage and didn't attempt to hide behind an alias.

So he can break the rules but nobody else is allowed ?

That's the worst trait a CEO can display to company employees.

To be absolutely blunt with the truth, it makes me wonder what other "rules" he believes that he can bend or contravene and get away with.

I'm a bit confused here, what rules were broken?

All I saw was a helpful post in response I believe to a disabled poster offering some help.

It was posted in such a sincere way that I believed it to be a genuine post straight away.

I see, so just a "Newbie" error then?

In that case I'm surprised the email address wasn't removed by the moderators.
