Received phone call yesterday: 03303035320. Negotiated new iPhone 7 monthly package and case. No bank details exchanged. Expectation to click through on email to confirm phone deal. Received from email account: news@o2-email.co.uk
Email received
Phone cover received in post this morning.
No record of transaction in ‘My O2’ orders/distribution of my account.
Please help me confirm if this is authentic.

Our advice is never to take out any type of deal from a cold call. Did they say they were O2 or that they were calling on behalf of O2?

@C-M-J  Doesn't sound legit to me. As @jonsie has said, never to agree to anything from a cold call. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Call O2 customer service https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus Keep an eye on your bank statement as well. I know you said you didn't exchange details, but it's always wise to stay alert. They obviously have your physical and email addresses and your phone number. Probably not too hard to get the rest.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

@C-M-J

It's not O2 calling https://who-called.co.uk/Number/03303035320

I suggest you call O2 and cancel immediately Guide: How to find help & contact O2

Good morning @C-M-J :slight_smile:

I've just checked on my end as well, and found out that this number is one used to contact customers with for upgrades. The email you've received should have taken you through to agree the CCA for your Refresh agreement, which will then generate the order at the end. The email will only be valid for 72hrs and then it will expire – nothing will show in your My O2 until you've completed the link. If the 72hrs have elapsed since agreeing the deal, you'll need to speak to Upgrades again to go through the process one more time.

Hope this helps!
