How can I find out if there is a data cap on my account. I went to USA for 5 days, switched off data roaming, received no notification that data reached, and have a £2000.00 bill. How???

If you opt out of the standard cap you are put on the enhanced cap then full unlimited here http://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/mobile/pay-monthly-roaming-bolt-ons so 2 opt outs to get unlimited roaming data. If opted out to unlimited then no 80% 100% warning sms the opt out should show in myo2 in boltons

you must ring 202 to get this resolved

to use £2000 on data will have been. 333.333 mb of data in the USA

@Anonymous I don't know what type of phone you have, but I have an Android phone and switching off data roaming is not the same as switching my data off completely. There are different buttons for each.

Yes, that's absolutely correct @Cleoriff, but I do it by not using an O2 sim at all when I'm there. I use my Three sim which allows me to use my data over there and also calls back to the UK from my UK allowance, and I use a US T-Mobile Pay & Go sim to make calls within the US.

By the way, @Cleoriff, a Three Pay & Go sim might be a thought for you when you go to Spain, if these new O2 Travel charges start getting out of hand.

This might be the moment for a rethink @Cleoriff, particularly with new charges coming in.
