Yes, that's absolutely correct @Cleoriff, but I do it by not using an O2 sim at all when I'm there. I use my Three sim which allows me to use my data over there and also calls back to the UK from my UK allowance, and I use a US T-Mobile Pay & Go sim to make calls within the US.
