Hi, I’d be grateful for some help with a credit check issue I have. O2 had my maiden name rather than my married name and this prevented an order of an Apple Watch going through. Although the details have been updated the credit check is still failing. My first fail ever I can only think it is due to the fact my name was initially wrong. Is there anyone who can help please? Thanks

The credit check failing will be down to information received from the Credit Reference Agency, and not just on your name alone.

No one can over ride the results of a credit check, im afraid, and too many searches can result in issues with your credit file .

Money Saving Expert has some advise on this as well.

You need to call O2.

All numbers are in this guide

You can use Skype from your PC to call the free numbers if you have no phone available

Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

8am is the best time to call
