Could Not Activate Cellular Data Network

Anyone else having this issue? I'm in London. There is a message on 02 customer service number stating they are having issues and working to resolve ASAP.

Unfortunately I cannot access twitter from work and do so normally via my iPhone. However as I cannot access any data services via my iPhone I am unable to receive these notifications from O2.
Why can't O2 simply update their website with this information as well is beyond me. But many thanks to others like prking who are updating those like me on the situation via the various forums.

....why cant people accept that faults happen *sigh* and before people get uppity saying "we pay for the service"...so do i, but ou dont see me complaining, faults happen, you cant expect perfect coverage, 100% of the time 365 days a year, systems update and change, there will be glitches...its inevitable

Finally I've found something reporting this problem. I've been getting the same error message all day.... I'm in Sussex on a PAYG iPhone 3G, I work/live in the middle of nowhere (south of Horsham) with two people on contract iPhones, both of them have experienced no visable outages today :womanindifferent: , where as my data connect just has not worked at all.... And its still down 12 hours later :robotmad:

Agreed. So glitches and faults are inevitable. So O2 should put a service status page on their website to keep customers informed when things go wrong, instead of relying on customers and twitter to post resolutions.
