The photo of 3 (possibly) women in the O2 band width is proving too much for me. Anyone else agree?
I used to be an amateur photographer in an Avant guarde Club but i see no merits in the photo, Its putting me off using the site
Please some one pull the plug on this. Maybe an 02 er can provide something appropriate.???

I've looked carefully at the band photo ... it does my eyes in!
The photo is sooo blurd, like a photo of people I take with my shaky hands
Looking at the picture & trying to guess what it is meant to convey (without knowing it is supposed to be the O2 Community) ... it says nothing at all to me!
The picture takes up far too much space
It's like a crap piece of modern art

I used to be an amateur photographer in an Avant guarde Club but i see no merits in the photo, Its putting me off using the site
- It doesnt convey friendliness in blue /grey/purple
- Is totally blurred in all parts, even the interesting wool texture is done to death
- It says nothing about the friendly help, enquiring questions, warmth on O2 site
Please some one pull the plug on this. Maybe an 02 er can provide something appropriate.???
Possibly the "community" should put forward their ideas?
Those would can do Artwork could provide some.

Thank you very much @Anonymous
I think I can guess what ours might be?

Better anyway than misty old musty old photo on the banner now!

With regards to the banner and the image, input from members of the Community has been suggested.
I am no designer or graphic artist but at one time worked in marketing. In those days, there were several factors which were taken into account, which, might, be relevant to the discussion we are having. and to address the problems, some answers to these questions might be helpful:
Who is the Community aimed at?
What does the Community offer?
Who uses the Community - and Why?
What method (e.g. laptop, app, smartphone) do members use to access the Community?
In my opinion, if we can identify what marketing calls our "target audience", we can then consider
How to address the issue...
This is only a suggestion and realise that different people will have different views but by looking at the quesions posed we might be able to come to a consensus of opinion.

I think you've summed it up nicely @Mi-Amigo. You've listed what should have been taken into account before presenting us with a photo that doesn't meet any of the marketing points you put forward.
I imagine there will be many reasons people come to the forum, though the majority come for help, like me. I stayed because I was made to feel welcome, enjoyed the banter, started learning quite a bit and laughed a lot.
I think the photo should show us as a true community of like-minded people, a family if you will in the wider sense, which is what we are or try hard to be. The present photo certainly doesn't do that.
As for how we enter the community, I would presume via desktop/laptop. Though the time of day would play a factor on what we use. I also imagine, I'm one of the few who always uses her phone as I don't own a PC or laptop; my case being extremely rare I would think.
