Hi,

I have recently moved abroad and need to cancel my monthly bill, I have tried to ring 202 to cancel my bill but the call will not go through. Is there anyway I am able to do this online / email or can I get a friend / family member to do it from me at home? I do plan on returning so will I be able to keep number? TIA Rachel

@RT5

You will need to call 0800 902 0217 using Skype Guide: A Guide to Skype

The only way to keep the number is to port it to the likes of 1p mobile, and keep topping up every few months as otherwise it will disappear into the ether.

@RT5

It's free to call O2 from abroad on +44 7860 980 202

Try to call early morning UK time.

You can transfer your number to an O2 PAYG sim but you need to top up every 6 months so it will cost you £20 per year in real terms.

Switching from O2 Pay Monthly to Pay As You Go

If you want to switch from a Pay Monthly to Pay As You Go, we can take care of moving your number and even arrange for your new Pay As You Go sim.

Get in touch by calling us. We’ll do the rest.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@RT5 Also take a look here: Cancelling your contract - An updated guide - O2 Community You can't just stop paying your contract. You will have to pay the remainder if you want to cancel.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
