3g isn't getting any better around the UK it need to be looked into and more masts are needed one masts isn't good enough come on 02 you can better than that

Unfortunately we don't know that detail.
O2 had to make a commitment to OFCOM to cover 98% of the population with at least 2mbps 3G by the end of 2017 (part of their 4g license agreement), but the roll out schedule for improvements has not been published.

4g is fine. It's 3g that is heavily congested and slow but this is improving as 4g is been rolled out.

No problem with 4G, many people are still waiting but it is worth the wait. Whether the rollout reaches you before you're contract comes to an end is in the lap of the gods, seems they are the only ones who know the schedule.
