Directory enquiries... how i miss the good old days!

Does anyone actually know of any of the cheaper services they mention? (Not Google)

Interesting article @adamtemp64, though the post office is cheaper than O2 for 90 second calls?

I have to say I have never used directory enquiries since they started to charge extortionate prices.(I can remember when these calls used to be free!)

Nowadays, I just google the number I want.

I'm the same @Cleoriff. Though I do check to see if the company I want to contact has an email address. I find it easier to put what I want to say in writing and, more importantly, I have a written record of the company's reply. With phone calls it's a he said/she said scenario and no proof of what was agreed if it all goes pear-shaped.
