02 mobile web / 02 pre pay wap.........

I know this may sound like a stupid question but can someone explain to me exactly what these two are? and any differences?
As a fairly new user of 02 I am a bit confused.
When I access the internet on my mobile, my phone first says
Connecting 02 Mobile Web
This usually then says "connection failed."
Then my phone says
Connecting 02 Pre Pay Wap
And I get a connection and the 02 Web Site loads.
Cheers

O2 Mobile Web are the internet settings for contract customers. Prepay is the settings for Pay and Go customers.

So why would I have the settings for contract customer in my phone if I have always been a Pay and Go customer, these settings are the ones sent to me by 02.
Also is there a way for me to remove the settings that refer to contract customer? Or do I just ignore it?
Thanks for the help

Most phones come with both so that they can be used by contract or pay and go customers. Normally you would set the one you will be using as default. How you do that depends on the make and model of the handset.
Which phone is it?

I see from your other thread that it is a Nokia C7.
Highlight the settings, press options then delete. If the settings were pre-installed then you might not be able to delete them, but this won't be a problem as long as pay and go are default.
You should setup an Internet destination with your wi-fi as connection 1 and O2 Prepay as connection 2. That way the phone will automatically use your wi-fi when available and then O2.
