Hi. Can someone help please.
I have an iphone x.
The face recognition is no longer working, and I have been told by Apple tech the phone isnt repairable.
The phone is 18mths old been well looked after and is in pristine condition.
Both Apple, And O2, are refusing to help, Because the phone is out of warrenty.
Do I have any rights to have the phone replaced. Or have I wasted £1000.
Thanks for any help provided.

Unfotunately, unless you can prove it was a manufacturing fault which was present at the time of purchase, there is little else you can do.

It's very contentious and there needs to be a precedent in court (I don't know if there has or not) but obviously this needs to be taken further by the op especially if O2 won't do anything and the contract is still being paid for One reason I would never buy any product from that bunch at Apple or an Apple device from O2 on a two year contract.
This is always a possibility of happening and I think the first thing would be to make a complaint. The problem is that if O2 don't then agree to repair the phone it will be a further 8 weeks before @mepedro gets a letter of deadlock in order to proceed. That's in the long term. Short term he has no phone yet is still paying for the device and the airtime.

SOGA is the only hope as I posted above.

I'd think it was worth a shot.... If they say no, nothing lost.
