unknown call from maldives

i had a missed call and phoned the caller back. My grand-daughter is abroad so I thought it might be from her. It was not. Was this a scam call?

I'd say so.

Perhaps look at MyO2 to see if/how much you were charged for the call.

Just wondering how you knew it was from the Maldives? If you can see the number you could google it via one of the 'Who Called Me?' sites http://uk.whocalledme.net/.

I received a call from here in the early hours. It says in the phones call log where it is from. Just ignored it. Google this morning but nothing showing about it.
