iPhone Handset Exchange

Anonymous
Not applicable
I sent my iPhone away for repair and they said they will do a handset exchange. I was just wondering if anyone knew what O2 do with the other phone that was sent for repair. Do I get it back or do they keep it- it's just the phone has all my messages, personal details and photos stored.

Thanks

They will have deleted everything from the phone.  When I had my iPod touch exchanged in store they went into settings and handed me the device back to press 'erase all content' in the general/reset menu.

If your phone was not beyond repair, it will in turn be refurbished and handed on to someone else whose phone has broken.

Hi there They will keep the phone you sent to them unfortunately you should have backed it up before it went

Well I suppose you can look at it in a good way that you are getting a new or refurbished phone I'm sure they will delete the data as a matter of course

They would most likely send the iphone onto a 3rd world country if it can be repaired or broken up for spare parts.

Either way it would be most likely restored to the newest iOS as a new phone.

I really wouldn't worry.
