Anonymous

Just a quick question regarding the iPhone 6. Will customers due an upgrade for their phone be given priority over pre-orders of the iphone 6?

So we have all this hype and frenzy till November...then we start with the cries of 'Where's my phone? It should have been here 1... 2... 3 ..4.. 5 ...6... 7 days ago'.....

I may go into hibernation Smiley Very Happy

So...let me get this right please...we have nine more days before the big reveal...at some event...???

How many days/weeks/months after that will the stupid phone be released?????

Its usually around 2 weeks after the announcement, that the phone is released.

It's not about who gets priority or anything like that but what the ordering process is and what timescales.

I have a sim only and buy straight from Apple;

with the 4S and 5 you could book online from 0800 (or thereabouts) on the day of release.  The 5S was different in that the 5C became available for ordering 'on the day' but the 5S was a week later.  I ended up ordering it at midnight for a 2 week delivery then finding they had them in our local Apple Store a few days later as I walked past!

Will be interested to see what they do this time - I found the best thing was to was to watch out for when the Apple Store became "down for maintenance" then you knew it would be available for taking orders shortly after.

Any inside info would be good!  (and yes I do know it's best to wait a few weeks until the fuss has died down but what the heck...!)

Totally agree @Anonymous ...all jesting aside, you have to do what you want to do in order to get your phone...

It does seem that you have the system sorted...and have a good idea of what comes next...so best of luck with it. :wink:

I don't pre order from Apple.

I'm a patient guy. :slight_smile:

The Apple store typically have my choice of capacity (16gb) in soon enough.
