iPhone 5c unlocking when and how much?

Any idea how long before O2 will give the option of unlocking the new iPhone 5c handsets and the likely cost? Seen that it was 6 months for the iPhone 5.

Also once unlocked will the phone remain sim free (as if you had bought direct from apple) or will it lock to the next carrier that is put in it?

HI,

Once the unlock has been done it will remain unlocked as if it was from Apple.

It will be probably free for contract and £15 for payg as per normal.

Yes it was 6 months for the iPhone 5.

Some here have requested an unlock but have been advised if your on a refresh tariff they wont unlock it until the phone plan has been paid off.

ie. free to pay monthly and £15 P&G

Phones will remain unlocked whatever sim you use.

If you bought it on Refresh you have to pay the phone part off first though.....
