Would like to know if O2 would allow me to unlock my iPhone 5 to any network, I have submitted a unlock request form at www.o2.co.uk/unlockmyiphone

I thought I read somewhere that they don't unlock for the first few months, to stop people from upgrading, unlocking it and then selling the phone on, therefore depriving other o2 users from getting a handset during the period when there is short supply.
