I am looking to pay off my iPhone and cancel my phone contract and move provider. Issue is with the Apple Watch I took out with o2 12 months ago.

The advisor I first spoke to said if I cancelled my phone I would have to settle the Apple Watch contract at over £600 and the second person told me that I can cancel my phone and keep paying for my Apple Watch but I asked would the tariff for it no longer work as I am moving to another provider and she said no I can move my number to another network and the watch will still work with that number.

My understanding was the iPhone and Apple watch had to be on the same network to work?

Advisor 1 is correct.

Advisor 2 is smoking pot.

So even though my phone contract states it’s a 30 day rolling contract and I can pay my phone off I would still have to pay off my entire Apple Watch plan to cancel my phone? Was happy to just continue paying for the watch and tariff even if the tariff wasn’t linked to my phone anymore

Unfortunately yes @Callum929

As stated in the T&C's I posted and which you agreed to when connecting your watch.
