iOS 9.3 Update - Very weak / intermittent service in strong areas - Call failure and cannot receive

Anonymous

Hi all,

I've tried resetting my iPhone 6s a million different ways including restoring and resetting all sorts of different things, airplane mode, taking SIM card out and putting back in again. Tried calling up O2 - useless. Tried calling Apple - useless. Can't figure out if it's the phone or the network.

Things were working fine before the 9.3 update but now I cannot receive calls or make outbound calls. 3G and 4G is intermittent and often not working when in strong reception areas (just shows E or GPRS).

Help please!

There is a help thread on here about problems with 9.3.
Have a look in Apple section below your post.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Just to add - if I am in a 4G area it will connect to that - HOWEVER - if I force it to 2G or 3G it shows No Service. Hence the intermittent service!!!! Thanks a lot O2... useless!

You must have a mast issue or a sim fault as the 9.3 update only seems to affect iPhone 5s & older iPhones that can run iOS 9

My iPhone 6s has updated with zero issues, in fact battery life seems to last ever longer now. But that might be to do with app changes more than the update!
