I recently changed phone from blackberry to iPhone. Got new sim. Problem is iMessage doesn't work with my mobile number. People have to use my email address to send me iMessage. Why is this and how can I fix it?

Are your settings on to send and receive from all addresses (your mobile number and your emial address)?

Try logging out of iMessage and turn it off then reboot your phone and log in to iMessage again.

Sorry, I do not think my last post has appeared 😞 I may have clicked cancel instead of post or it might be that posts are moderated first.

My previous post was about imessaging and how in some areas, like mine, at the moment are not working. I spoke to o2 guru and he gave me the link to check the status and anyone in the LL12 area will be unable to text using imessage. The status message is:

"Sorry we're currently working on a phone mast in this area

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community.

As iMessages run through the internet (wifi or data), then there will be problems sending/receiving them if there is an issue in your area.  If it is possible, try connecting to the wifi rather than using your data and that may help.

As you are only showing one post in the box to the left you must have cancelled the previous one.

You can check the status site for updates on the mast problem here:
