@Anonymous wrote:im wondering if its because i still have my old iphone with the same no still accepting imessages even though its o2 ability to make calls and normal green messages has been deactivated. i would have thought that when i turned the wifi off on the old phone it would solve the problem but not so!
Having your Apple i.d in another idevice should really only mean that they both get imessages sent to them !
If the bullet points in my first official Apple link and the link to the Apple Community Forum dont work then try the Genius Bar appointment route.
Lots of people have found iMessage to be a little glitchy on setting up, and as such their is a lot of info in threads on the internet, with lots of ways of resolving the issue. Using Google will highlight these. Some had issues when updating to iOS7 and found that in most cases the problem just resolved itself !
Good luck.

Text the word "active" to 2020 then save the settings that get sent back.
Then try and activate over mobile data.

Hi,
so you've tried the links for activation.
Your connected to o2's Internet Ok ?
You may need to arrange for an Apple Store Genius Bar appointment.

Try doing a reset by doing the following and see if it helps.
Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button. Continue to hold them while the iPhone switches off, keep holding them until you see the Apple logo appear on the screen, when you see this, stop pressing the buttons.

Im wondering if its to do with still getting imessages on my old phone with same no even tho i have no o2 service on there it is still receiving imessages. I have tried switching the wi fi off on that phone and trying to activate imessages on the new phone again but still no joy and then when i turn the wi fi back on the old phone all the messages start coming through there!!
