If only for accidental damage. then apple care looks good and I would check but if it includes being able to swap at an apple store then no time without a phone. Plus the added benifit of an extra 12 months apple warranty so again straight swap.

Check your bank as most banks offer phone insurance - either included in your current account free or as an add on for a monthly fee.

I have AppleCare+ on my iPhone 5S and my iPad Air. They are both also covered on my home contents for theft and damage but if I have accidental damage I will claim on the AppleCare+ to avoid affecting my contents premium, although it wasn't affected too much when I had to claim for damage to my iPhone 5 after smashing its screen

£79 up front from apple so almost half the £144 o2 want over 2 years plus as I said the second year warranty from apple that o2 insurance is not providing
