Unlocking iPhone 5

Anonymous
Not applicable

Been looking on the internet on how to unlock the iPhone 5... Mostly curiosity.

And came across a few sites where they do a IMEI unlock.... I was wondering how they do it? Surely it must be illegal?

But to my main point (Last sentence), is this true?

Indeed it is. If a carrier has exclusive rights to a mobile then they don't want to allow you to buy it outright and move to another carrier. They wouldn't make any money.

Some websites have contracts with the carriers so you pay the website £50 and they give the carrier £10 it's all legal.

However many of these sites are scams so is avoid them. There's a few that do what they say but not allowed to post them here I don't think:/
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong. So Ive been told wink
