Help ! Paid of remaining balance of IPhone this Sat and requested unlock , 72 hours passed , nothing , rang 02 and they have escalated this stating another 24/48 hours . So here we are today and no email to confirm unlock . Why are they taking so long , this is so frustrating , the phone is now mine and I can't use it with my new provider !!! Mmmm perhaps this is the reason ??? What do I have to do ??

The instructions for unlocking are pretty simple as shown here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/Unlocking-an-O2-phone-to-use-a-different-SIM-card/ba-p/1014131

Give them another call this morning. Between 8-830am is the best time

Edited to ask if you have actually tried another sim in your phone to check if it is actually unlocked?

Thanks all , still not unlocked . Spoke on phone , advised escalating again , this is so frustrating feel like banging head against wall . Have sent complaint via email . 😡

O2 have had problems in the past with unlocking iPhones.

Thanks all . After a fraught conversation with 02 resulting in another escalation I decided to try my virgin sim 4 hours later . It worked !!! I have yet to receive an email to confirm unlock from 02 . Something gone wrong somewhere 🤔
